Kizomba

“Kizomba is a smooth and elegant partner dance that originated in Angola. The word Kizomba comes from Kimbundu, one of Angola’s major languages, and means “party” or “gathering.” The dance developed from Angolan Semba, combined with influences from Caribbean Zouk music that reached Angola through cultural exchange and travel.
We teach Urban Kiz, a modern evolution of Kizomba that combines the close connection and smooth movements of Kizomba with influences from urban and contemporary dance styles. It focuses on musicality, connection, and creative movement, making it a fun and expressive social dance.
