EVERY FRIDAY: CHAOS PRACTICE TIME!

Every Friday we meet in Chalmers Union Building, right in front of J.A Pripps. We have an open playlist, which naturally and generally turns a bit chaotic, which is why we lovingly refer to our Fridays as “Chaos Fridays”. We frequently see dances such as Bugg, West Coast Swing, Salsa, Bachata, Lindy Hop, Argentine Tango, and Ballroom dances in our hangouts. Sometimes we have even seen Burlesque dancing and Bollywood dancing – you never know what might show up! Feel free to bring your own dance: we are many that are eager to see and try out new things!

Our Friday’s are an unofficial arrangement by volunteering members of CSDA and completely FREE and open for EVERYONE. WELCOME!

SUNDAY HAPPENING - BOOGIE WOOGIE & FOX ON NOVEMBER 9TH

Join us on Sunday the 9th for a fun workshop together with Donnum Ferrum. We will be having two workshops, and you are welcome to join us for one of them or both!

14:00 – 15:00 Fox

Learn the basics of the popular Swedish version of Foxtrot, or “Fox”, with our guest teacher Håkan Mårtensson. This is a smooth, close-embrace partner dance that can be danced to almost any kind of music — from soft pop to classic ballads. It’s especially popular on Swedish dance floors for its relaxed flow and versatility. The focus is on connection, musicality, and leading/following rather than strict choreography. Whether you’re new to partner dancing or just want to move more comfortably on social dance floors, this is the perfect place to start!

15:15 – 16:45 Boogie Woogie

Get ready for energy, rhythm, and fun! Our guest teachers Eva Andersson and Tommy Petersson will treat us to a joyful afternoon filled with the vintage vibes of Boogie Woogie. This lively swing dance has its roots in the 1940s and 50s, inspired by rock’n’roll and Lindy Hop. It’s danced to upbeat swing, rockabilly, or rhythm & blues music and combines improvisation, dynamic footwork, and playful interaction between partners. This dance is full of joy and freedom — perfect for anyone who loves retro energy and wants to boost their confidence on the dance floor.
