EVERY FRIDAY: CHAOS PRACTICE TIME!

Every Friday we meet in Chalmers Union Building, right in front of J.A Pripps. We have an open playlist, which naturally and generally turns a bit chaotic, which is why we lovingly refer to our Fridays as “Chaos Fridays”. We frequently see dances such as Bugg, West Coast Swing, Salsa, Bachata, Lindy Hop, Argentine Tango, and Ballroom dances in our hangouts. Sometimes we have even seen Burlesque dancing and Bollywood dancing – you never know what might show up! Feel free to bring your own dance: we are many that are eager to see and try out new things!

Our Friday’s are an unofficial arrangement by volunteering members of CSDA and completely FREE and open for EVERYONE. WELCOME!

Time: 19:30 – until we get tired
(generally around 1 AM)

SUNDAY HAPPENING - Grounded Connection: From Walking to Ochos; December 7th

Welcome to another workshop with CSDA! This time, we’re joined by our talented guest teacher, Elodie from @connect_with_joy (check out her website: connectwithjoy.com)!
In this 1-hour workshop, we’ll explore the essentials of Argentine tango through a progression from walking to ochos. Using simple somatic and awareness practices, we’ll develop grounding, balance, and a responsive connection within the embrace.
Note that while this workshop is taught from a tango perspective, it will be useful no matter what dance or background you come from! So whether you’re a Tango-Mango or a dancer from another style, feel free to join.
Open to all levels, the class offers practical tools for clear technique, easy movement, and an attuned dialogue with your partner.
After the workshop we’ll do social dancing, keeping the playlist open for suggestions as to fit most dances.
Price: FREE for students, 50kr for non-students
💃 No partner needed – just bring comfortable shoes, good vibes, and curiosity.
